It is our intent to assist the Team members (particularly the Design Engineer) in managing, controlling, and monitoring electrical costs during the Design Development Phase of the project, while respecting the original project requirements.
Periodic Design Reviews
The Design Development Estimate(s) is prepared from design documents with an overall completion status of 50 to 75% complete. This estimate provides the opportunity to reaffirm the project budget, analyze any variances, and to determine alternates, if any. As with the Schematic Design Estimate, this estimate serves as a baseline for cost studies prior to the next estimate. We plan on participating in periodic design reviews; scope and number as determined by the Team.
Estimates shall be prepared to the level of detail available on the drawings and specifications, supplemented by written narrative. As with all our work, all back-up information will be available for the Team's review.
We will provide recommendations on relative feasibility of construction methods, availability of material, time requirements for procurement and installation in order to enhance the construction schedule.
It is our goal that by providing design reviews, cost information and design alternatives early in the design phase, we can advise and guide the design to achieve a cost efficient, quality design that does not exceed the budget.
